Deadpool is offered a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the Time Diversion Authority, but instead recruits a variant of Wolverine to save his universe from extinction. He then said he regretted the statement after watching the first Deadpool movie and expressed to Ryan his interest in seeing the two characters meet on the big screen. When asked why he decided to return for this film, he simply said, “I just wanted to do it, and I felt it in my gut,” adding that he wanted to have the best time ever on a movie set with Ryan Reynolds. An acquired taste, yes, but one you won’t regret choosing
Bloody, loud, irreverent, utterly profane and without any shame, this couldn’t have been done with anything other than 'R' rating because it gleefully revels in political incorrectness with innuendo, wanton violence, necrophilia and just about every other type of inappropriate thing imaginable with gusto and glee, with a modern soundtrack as an added bonus. With shades of Marvel’s bygone years, it remains to be seen whether this will become an elixir for the fading MCU, and while the plot is all over the place, it’s still fun to watch thanks to a series of memorable characters, highlighted by the dynamic between Reynolds and Jackman, who make an ideal duo in the kind of film about to a superhero friend where you constantly make it difficult for someone. **½. The last season of the series “What we do in the shadows” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
